Sought job: Veterinarian

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine
of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece with an Upper Second Class
Degree (7, 7 out of 10) in July 2011. As a recent graduate, I have developed a
comprehensive understanding of different animal species. It is for this reason
that I am hopeful that you will consider me for this position.

I have put my
course theory into practice in a number of ways. After completing my
fourth year of studies I took part in a Practical Training Program held at the
Equine Clinic of the University of Vienna. During that period I not only had
the chance to benefit from the high standards of another European university
but I also learned new techniques, a different approach to Equine
medicine and surgery and the most important thing for me is the experience I
gained by living in an international environment and working with many people
from different cultural backgrounds. My experience also includes work in
small animal medicine and surgery at Langford Veterinary Services of the
University of Bristol where I pursued a 3 month scholarship. My duties involved
training in all the departments with a 2 week rotation in surgery, medicine,
anesthesia and radiology and occasionally speaking with the pet owners in
languages such as English, French and Spanish. By the end of the program, I was
accepted from Bath Vet Referrals to see practice at the Rosemary Lodge Hospital
in Bath assisting with all the procedures and surgeries. In particularly, I
found myself fascinated by surgery, emergency and critical care. At the end of January 2012, I worked as a locum
veterinary surgeon at Pet Doctors in Tongham.

My devotion for
protecting and caring about animals can be proven through a series of extra
curriculum activities I engage myself with in my free time. During the last 5
years, I have worked as a Volunteer in many Non-Governmental Organizations such
as the Hellenic Wildlife Hospital of Thessaloniki providing rehabilitation and
treatment to wild animals and the ARCHELON Sea Turtle Rescue Centre where I
worked in first aid treatment, drug administration and care of injured sea turtles
and other animals.

Regarding my work permit, my degree is recognized in the
EU and Switzerland and I am eligible to register in each country’s Veterinary association.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Ge... V...
